    Historia winnicy Cantemerle ma swoje początki w średniowieczu, wraz z panami Cantemerle. Po kilkukrotnej zmianie właściciela, zamek stał się własnością Mutuelles d'Assurance de SMABTP w latach 80-tych XX wieku. Chateau Cantemerle, Grand Cru Classé w 1855 roku, jest jedną z wizytówek DOC Haut-Médoc.
