UPS spisało się fatalnie. Najpierw podali przewidywany termin dostawy, a potem zmusili moją żonę do czekania przez cały dzień, by w końcu NIE dostarczyć przesyłki bez żadnego uprzedzenia (!). Dopiero następnego ranka poinformowali o zmianie przewidywanego terminu dostawy (!) i tym razem wszystko poszło zgodnie z planem. Cały dzień zmarnowany, nie było możliwości skontaktowania się z kurierem. Okropne doświadczenie! Aroganckie dranie.

Założona w 2001 roku w Castagneto Carducci, w prowincji Livorno, posiadłość I Greppi rozciąga się na około 37 hektarów, z czego ponad 25 to winnice. Obecnie firma jest zarządzana przez rodzinę McMahon, która nabyła ją w 2017 roku.

Greppicante Bolgheri to mieszanka głównie merlot z dodatkiem cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc i petit verdot. Winogrona są selekcjonowane i zbierane z winnic położonych na glebach składających się głównie z piasków mułowych i żelazistych z głęboką warstwą gliny. Po fermentacji w stalowych zbiornikach i okresie maceracji na skórkach, połowa gotowego wina leżakuje przez 12 miesięcy w mieszance nowych i używanych beczek z francuskiego dębu, a pozostała część pozostaje w stalowych zbiornikach.

W kieliszku wino ma jasny kolor z intensywnymi rubinowymi refleksami. Jego profil aromatyczny jest złożony i aromatyczny, z bukietem małych jagód i kwiatów przeplatanych nutami śródziemnomorskich ziół. Na podniebieniu jest gładkie, pełne i bogate. Ma bardzo przyjemną koncentrację owoców, aksamitne taniny i długi finisz. Jest to wino łatwe w odbiorze, które może również dobrze leżakować przez kilka lat w piwnicy. Spróbuj je z grillowanym mięsem.
