    Jedna z najstarszych winnic na świecie, Constantia, została założona w 1685 roku przez pierwszego gubernatora Przylądka, Simona van der Stela. Historyczna winiarnia znajduje się u podnóża góry Constiaberg, z widokiem na pobliską False Bay, malowniczą okolicę, która jest idealna do produkcji win premium dzięki chłodzącej bryzie oceanicznej i granitowym glebom.
    Cenione przez XVIII-wieczne dwory królewskie w całej Europie i pite przez Napoleona, Fryderyka Wielkiego i Bismarcka, Vin de Constance jest najsłynniejszym winem w RPA. To soczyście słodkie wino deserowe zostało wskrzeszone w 1986 roku po szczegółowym zbadaniu metod produkcji wina i odmian winogron, które były tradycyjnie używane. Duża część charakteru tego wina pochodzi z chłodnych nocnych temperatur, które pozwalają winogronom dojrzewać bardzo powoli i zachować dobry poziom kwasowości, aby zrównoważyć intensywną słodycz.
    Po zbiorach i winifikacji następuje ostateczny proces mieszania, który może trwać do sześciu miesięcy. Młode wino dojrzewa następnie przez co najmniej 3 lata w beczkach i większych foudrach z francuskiego dębu. Rezultatem jest niezwykle złożone wino z bogatymi warstwami imbiru, marmolady, wiciokrzewu i mango nałożonymi na żywą świeżość i bogatą słodycz. Idealne do łączenia z owocowymi deserami lub po prostu do delektowania się nim po pysznym posiłku.
