Historia

Szlachetna historia Chateau Purcari sięga 1827 roku, kiedy to cesarz Rosji Mikołaj I wydał specjalny dekret uznający posiadłość za pierwszą oficjalną winiarnię w Besarabii, która dziś znana jest jako Mołdawia. Położona zaledwie 30 km od Morza Czarnego, winnica ta cieszy się idealnymi warunkami do produkcji wina premium. Zostało to zrealizowane już w 1847 roku, kiedy wino Negru de Purcari z posiadłości zostało nagrodzone złotym medalem na wystawie rolniczej w Besarabii. Kilkadziesiąt lat później wino to zostało również nagrodzone złotym medalem na Wystawie Światowej w Paryżu, plasując się obok najlepszych francuskich win z Bordeaux.
