Historia

Far Niente, co po włosku oznacza "bez troski", zostało pierwotnie założone w 1885 roku przez weterana gorączki złota Johna Bensona, który skorzystał z pomocy architekta Hamdena McIntyre'a, aby zbudować wspaniałą starą kamienną winiarnię. Podczas prohibicji posiadłość została opuszczona i dopiero w 1979 roku nowi właściciele Gil i Beth Nickel przywrócili ją do dawnej świetności. Dziś posiadłość szczyci się 200 akrami najlepszych winnic w całej dolinie Napa.

Dzisiaj Far Niente jest uważany za wzorcowego producenta, pozyskującego owoce do tej butelki z chłodnego regionu Coombsville na wschód od miasta Napa.
