    Jest to szczupłe wino 100% Syrah, eksplodujące pysznymi zapachami śliwki, jeżyny, popękanego czarnego pieprzu, dymu tytoniowego i fiołka. Zostało zebrane ze stromych tarasów Cornas w Dolinie Rodanu, gdzie winorośl rośnie na glebach bogatych w granit. W kieliszku ma również oszałamiający wygląd - głęboką atramentową czerwień z odcieniami fioletu.

    Domaine Courbis, rodzinna winiarnia z historią sięgającą XVI wieku, znajduje się w miejscu, gdzie spotykają się rzeki Rodan i Isère, na prawym brzegu Rodanu. Obecnie jest własnością i jest zarządzana przez dwóch braci, Laurenta i Dominique'a, którzy nadzorowali modernizację winiarni, gdy 20 lat temu zbudowano nową piwnicę.

    Jest to genialna, strukturalna reprezentacja Syrah z Rodanu, otulająca język aromatami czerwonych owoców, dymu, prażonego dębu i suszonych ziół. W ustach jest krągłe, z delikatnymi taninami i długim finiszem z nutami pieprzu. Przed butelkowaniem wino spędziło 18 miesięcy w dębowych beczkach (50% nowych, nadających dębowy kręgosłup).
