Petit Castel jest drugim winem Domaine du Castel i jest produkowane w klasycznym stylu Bordeaux z winogron Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc i Malbec pochodzących z najlepszych działek posiadłości. Po winifikacji wino dojrzewa w beczkach z francuskiego dębu przez 12 miesięcy, a następnie dojrzewa w betonowych zbiornikach przez dodatkowe 4 miesiące przed butelkowaniem.
W nosie wyczuwalne są uwodzicielskie nuty zmiażdżonych ciemnych jagód, dzikiej róży i skóry, podczas gdy pierwszy łyk ujawnia bogate, pełne ciało, gładkie taniny i jasną smugę kwasowości, która pomoże winu starzeć się z wdziękiem przez następne pięć lat. Doskonała równowaga pomiędzy smakami dojrzałych owoców i mocną strukturą sprawiają, że jest to świetne wino do łączenia z jedzeniem, zwłaszcza z daniami z czerwonego mięsa, takimi jak dobry stek, gulasz wołowy, a nawet dziczyzna.Domaine du Castel została założona w 1988 roku przez Eli Ben Zakena, który wyemigrował do Izraela z Mediolanu i kupił małą farmę w pobliżu Jerozolimy. The Petit Castel is the second wine of Domaine du Castel and it is made in a classic Bordeaux-style from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes sourced from the estate’s finest plots. On the nose there are seductive hints of crushed dark berries, wild roses, and leather while the first sip reveals a rich full body, smooth tannins, and bright streak of acidity which will help the wine to age gracefully over the next five years or so. The excellent balance between ripe fruit flavours and firm structure make this a great wine to pair with food
