    Domaine Zind-Humbrecht została założona w 1959 roku w wyniku połączenia dwóch starych rodzin winiarskich. Rodzina Humbrecht pracowała na alzackich wzgórzach od bardzo dawna, ale głównie jako skromni plantatorzy winogron, nigdy nie butelkując ani nie markując wina pod swoim nazwiskiem. Zmieniło się to wraz z małżeństwem Léonarda Humbrechta i Geneviève Zind.W latach 60-tych i 70-tych Domaine Zind-Humbrecht postawiła sobie za cel odmłodzenie regionu Alzacji. Zebrali kilka opuszczonych działek, z których niektóre stały się współczesnymi Grand Crus. Rangen de Thann jest jedną z nich, winnicą o najrzadszej jakości, położoną na najbardziej wysuniętym na południe krańcu Alzacji.
    Ten Riesling Grand Cru ma żywy, głęboki żółty kolor i wykazuje wybuchowy nos krzemienia, prochu strzelniczego i jabłka. Podniebienie przynosi nuty cytryny, limonki i skórki zielonego jabłka, z lekko lepką słoną teksturą. Wino to jest jednak wyjątkowe ze względu na głębię kamiennych minerałów i dymu. Jest bardzo wytrawne, z długim, ekscytującym finiszem. Jest to pierwszorzędny przykład jednej z najlepszych winnic Alzacji, idealny na wielkie okazje lub do dłuższego przechowywania w piwnicy. Jest godne picia samodzielnie, ale będzie również fantastyczne z camembertem, brie lub kremowym sosem.

    Throughout the 1960s and 70s, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht set their sights on rejuvenating the region of Alsace. They collected several abandoned prime plots, some of which have become modern-day Grand Crus. The Rangen de Thann is one of these, a vineyard of the rarest quality, located in the most southerly tip of Alsace. This Riesling Grand Cru is a vivid, deep yellow, and exhibits an explosive nose of flint, gunpowder and apple. The palate brings notes of lemon, lime and green apple skin, with a slightly viscous saline texture. However, this wine is unique for its depth of stony minerals and smoke. It is bone dry throughout, with a long, exhilarating finish. This is a first-class example of one of Alsace’s prime vineyards
