    Wino w USA produkowane jest od 1769 roku, kiedy to Hiszpanie założyli misję San Diego. Produkcja wina stopniowo rozprzestrzeniała się dalej na północ w miarę sadzenia kolejnych misji, a pierwsze winogrona posadzono w Napa Valley w latach trzydziestych XIX wieku. Chociaż produkcja wina spadła podczas prohibicji, dziś Stany Zjednoczone są czwartym co do wielkości producentem na świecie, a Amerykanie spożywają więcej wina na mieszkańca niż jakikolwiek inny naród.
