    Wina pomarańczowe

    Wina pomarańczowe, czyli wina typu skin contact, to w rzeczywistości rodzaj białego wina, które powstaje poprzez pozostawienie soku w kontakcie ze skórkami winogron przez dłuższy czas. Nadaje im to charakterystyczny pomarańczowy kolor, mocne taniny i intensywne aromaty miodowych owoców tropikalnych, orzechów, zakwasu, a nawet liści herbaty. Dzięki odważnemu profilowi smakowemu wina pomarańczowe dobrze komponują się z żywymi potrawami, takimi jak pikantne azjatyckie curry, złożone marokańskie tagines lub koreańskie potrawy ze sfermentowanym kimchi.

    Kluczowe regiony win pomarańczowych

    Wina pomarańczowe produkowane są na całym świecie, ale za miejsce narodzin tego stylu uważa się Gruzję na Kaukazie. Tutaj można kupić wina pomarańczowe, które są wytwarzane w dużych qvevri lub glinianych amforach, które są tradycyjnie uszczelniane woskiem pszczelim. Wina pomarańczowe można również znaleźć w regionie Friuli-Wenecja Julijska w północnych Włoszech, a także za granicą w Słowenii. Naturalni winiarze w USA, Australii i RPA również eksperymentują z nowymi winami pomarańczowymi.

    Wina pomarańczowe produkowane są z białych odmian winogron. Włoskie wina pomarańczowe są często wytwarzane z Sauvignon Vert (Friulano), Ribolla Gialla i Pinot Grigio, podczas gdy w Gruzji używa się lokalnych winogron Rkatsiteli. Vin Jaune z regionu Jura we Francji produkowane jest z lokalnego szczepu Savagnin.
