    Altair to jedno z flagowych win Vina San Pedro i jest powszechnie uważane za jedno z najlepszych czerwonych win w Chile. Nazwane na cześć najjaśniejszej gwiazdy w konstelacji Aquila, wino powstało dzięki współpracy Vina San Pablo z posiadłością Grand Cru Chateau Dassault w Bordeaux.Winogrona do produkcji tego wspaniałego wina pochodzą z winnic Vina San Pedro w Cachapoal, gdzie starożytne gleby wulkaniczne zapewniają idealne warunki do uprawy. Mieszanka składa się głównie z Cabernet Sauvignon wraz z mniejszą ilością Cabernet Franc i Syrah.Winogrona są starannie zbierane ręcznie i poddawane trzem selekcjom jakości przed rozpoczęciem winifikacji. Fermentacja odbywa się w zbiornikach ze stali nierdzewnej o kontrolowanej temperaturze, a następnie dojrzewa w nowych i używanych beczkach z francuskiego dębu przez 16 miesięcy.
